Oyster Kilpatrick

oyster kilpatrick

I love oyster kilpatrick and it is super easy to make.

Ingredient:

Fresh oyster (a dozen), chopped bacon, worcestershire sauce, rock salt

What to do:

  1. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius.
  2. Clean the oysters, top with chopped bacon and a teaspoon of worcestershire sauce.
  3. Place rock salt, in a thick layer, on a baking tray.
  4. Arrange oysters (in their half-shells) on rock salt.
  5. Bake until bacon is crispy.
  6. Serve as a appetizer.

  1. I’ve never prepared oysters this way, but it looks so simple and elegant, not to mention delicious. I was wondering what difference it would make to use less rock salt – what effect does it have on the flavour or texture, or is more for presentation?
